At the beginning of the year 2011, when we decided to go into the deepest areas of the Amazonian, we were tossed down the river in a canoe that cast us out; swallowing the waters of our own lives. It was an experience plagued with mosquitoes, ticks, snakes, caimans, jaguars, birds, highlands, snowcapped mountains, songs and cultural traditions. The canoe tipped over several times, and after many fierce maneuvers, we managed to straighten it; then, she began to teach us how to cautiously row in order to overcome the various streams life brings on.
A canoe is a way of transport in which we carry knowledge from one place to another. It is as well the means we found to share a message of awareness and history, a means to help us to continue to row throughout our lives.
